Jon Lester Is Back...For The Cubs' Homestand on Marquee

When the Cubs host the Arizona Diamondbacks this weekend at Wrigley Field, Marquee Sports Network has gone to the bullpen, sort of speak. That's because one of the team's best free agent signings and a key member of the 2016 World Series Champions is joining Marquee's team.
Marquee announced today that Jon Lester will be part of the network's presentation of this weekend's series vs Arizona. On Friday & Saturday, Lester will trade in his #34 uniform for a suit, shirt & tie as part of Marquee's "Cubs Live" & "Cubs Postgame Live" studio crew before & after the games.
Even though Saturday's game vs Arizona will be broadcast by FOX Sports, Marquee will still have "Postgame Live" after the final out. Former White Sox TV voice Jason Benetti & former Sox catcher turned podcast host A.J. Pierzynski will be on the call for Diamondbacks/Cubs Saturday at 6:15P (CT) on FOX 32 as part of FOX's "Baseball Night in America" broadcast this weekend.
Want more? Lester will be part of a 4 person crew for Sunday's game with Cubs Radio Network's Pat Hughes shifting over to Marquee for the game broadcast. Former Cub catcher & MLB manager Joe Girardi will join Hughes & Lester in the booth as well as dugout reporter Taylor McGregor for Sunday's Diamondbacks/Cubs' game @ 1:20P (CT) on Marquee.
If that's not enough, Lester will be part of the 4 person crew again Monday & Tuesday night when the Cubs host the Milwaukee Brewers. Lester, Jon "Boog" Sciambi & Jim Deshaies will be on the Marquee call of the 2 games with McGregor adjacent to the dugout as well.
