I don't think too many people actually care about WBBM-FM (B96) anymore. The same is true for a lot of radio stations.
At one time, people would wake up to their favorite station and keep it on in the car, at the office, etc.
B96's heyday is long over. One can blame management, their owner.. Audacy, bad music, DJs who have grown long in the tooth, etc.
We live in a world where anyone can program their own "radio station." There are no bad songs, no commercials, annoying chatter about mindless things, etc.
My personal favorite is still 93/WXRT. I know it's not the same 'XRT of 1995 or even 2005. Nevertheless, I try to salvage what I can from it. It clearly bills well enough, so Audacy hasn't run it into the ground.
Please tell me this is the beginning of the end of it. This is the absolute worst version of B96 that I can ever remember. I didn't like the hip-hop 2000s but this is even worse. Put it out of its misery!
