It seems very hard to believe that Byron Allen was once one of the hosts of the old TV show "Real People" back in the early '80s. You can find classic episodes of this reality/comedy show on YouTube.

Fast forward to now. Byron is now the boss of Entertainment Studios, a company that produces and distributes several TV shows. His company also acquired The Weather Channel in 2018 & The Grio in 2021. Allen was also part of an investment group that tried to buy the Denver Broncos, but was outbid by S. Robson Walton, an heir to the Walmart retail chain last February.

Just imagine for a moment if Allen adds ABC to his huge entertainment portfolio. Allen Media Group is said to be worth over $1 billion already.
