Great programmer. But, within a few months of KTWV's launch, there were many other NAC stations that had launched, which already had been in the pipe ready to flip. KTWV's ratings were not great and he exited pretty quickly to become a NAC consultant. He insisted on "no DJs" that in part led to the low ratings. When the next PD came in and immediately dropped that nonsense, John Sebastian, expanded the playlist and brought live jocks, the ratings increased.
Side note, according to my recollection reading Robert Feder when he was @ the Suntimes, WNUA was supposed to flip Dance40 and go up against B96 as WTKS Kiss 95.5, but the uprising of NAC/Smooth Jazz, altered that course!
Ultimately, he had a great career among many formats and towns, including the syndicated KTWV network, that many would do anything for. May he RIP.
