That is the answer to paid streaming.
PLUTO = You are a Mission Impossible (tv show) fanatic? Price is Right Barker? Price is Right Carey? 24 hours a day, devoted channels. Same for 3s Company. Family Ties. Game Show Network. Star Trek? 2 channels that alternate AND they have dedicated streams of each of TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager (last time I checked). Bottom line, you pay nothing, they air commercials. You are willing to watch commercials, it is free. No having to wait until 3AM on a Saturday morning to watch your show. Chances are, it is available, 24 hours a day, albeit with commercials.
This will help with the now declining, paid streaming offerings.
It's free appears to be the hook to watching reruns of classic TV series and game shows.
The problem is with so many lengthy commercial breaks, the various TV series are edited down to an inch of their life! Storylines suffer and it gets downright maddening.
Cable channels which disappear from Direct-TV or Dish Network could be MIA for months on end until new contracts are signed. I'm a longtime Comcast subscriber and I've been very lucky. The go-to channels I watch for news and entertainment are always there. So is the extremely high monthly price....
