Interesting (unsettling for many) article about AI replacing human air talent. Apparently, Alpha Media is test driving this technology. Wonder if this will be the future of some of their stations in our area. I'm thinking those recent layoffs are just the beginning.

Not here currently. They have a full lineup

Overnights - John Tesh. Syndicated
Mornings - Joe & Tina (WZSR)
Middays - Local (Voice Tracked)
Afternoons - Eddie & Hannah (WSSR)
Evenings - Eric Zachary. Syndicated.

They might try to fill weekend shifts, but I don't think it will fly. I've heard the demos. It does not sound real. It's clearly AI no matter how natural the voices sound. I don't think listeners will like it. I really don't.
