Four personalities from Phoenix’s KALV — known collectively as “The Morning Mess” — are moving to Chicago to broadcast live from B96, Audacy announced Wednesday. They’ll start on the air the week of April 4.

The show will air here from 5:30 to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday and continue to be heard in Phoenix as well.
Leader of the ensemble cast is Joey Rodriguez, a Philadelphia native of Puerto Rican descent who grew up in Los Angeles. Known to fans as “Joey Boy” and “Nachoo,” he first began pursuing his radio ambitions at age 15 and was hosting nights at Power 106 in L.A. by his early 20s.

They have had their ass handed to them by KISS for years now.
Brotha Fred has a following. He is on a CHR that is barely at a 3 share but he has a following and the advertisers like consistency. I wish these folk luck but again.....
The station overall has major issues:
1 - Young demos are just not listening to commercial radio like that demo used to. 2 - Poor CHR music at the time. 3 - Station has a major identity issue. 4 - Upper Demos (what are left) share with sister station Jams. 5 - The station is jockless 1AM - 7AM. Run the show 7AM - 11AM. Right into office hours, or offices don't listen, so who cares? The whole drive time and office hours means nothing to radio these days.
Add in Audacy is a terrible company and they need to blow out these 50 and 60 year old White dudes that think they can still program a CHR just by digesting the research. The Good Ol Boys club needs to go away. It is killing radio as we knEw it.
