I was wondering if the beat is still on the radio? I listen online and love all the dusties they play. I can’t pick up the station so I was just wondering. The variety is great

No it is not on the radio.
I have been meaning to ask, Sal you around here? "The Beat" app on iOS no longer works. Is there a replacement for it to listen on a mobile device? Also does your stream work over Google/Alexa? What are the keywords?
I know I can easily pull it up on a desktop/laptop when I am stationary, but it is a lot harder doing it via web being mobile.
Thanks!
Z

Z I’m here been quiet. I haven’t heard much but I do know the clock is ticking on the WLS am show. I’m told that John Howell is in poor health as well. My question is this on the big 89 Z. Half the time they are liberal, the national shows are conservative. What do you suppose they are trying to do? Seems like a ghost ship.
Hope you are well friend .

Been swamped, Digital Saviors Chicago has been keeping me busy and growing. On top of that, I've been cast for another TV show so as always, never a dull moment.
In a nutshell, the website is how people listen or through Streema, Sonos, Onlineradiobox and others. The website does pretty good because it's loaded with so much diversified content. If you remember when I had Cyber (25 years ago, then 1CLUB (ATR), 16 years ago, we began implementing video )TV, movies, cartoons, classic commercials etc)), sports and other things to the content including a little known company called Hulu (whom we worked with in bringing content to people for them before they became what they are)
I refuse to give Apple or Google a penny of my money to list an app. The app had about 14,000 downloads through the years and I just don't care. I will not give them a dime of my money and it has not affected us one bit. I'm glad people enjoy the website and the format. Since I switched it to the format it is now (over a year ago), the listenership has really grown and serves its purpose. In the end, I ain't doing anything different than I was in 1995.
On the weekend, we still run the mix shows like we did on the air.
With all the problems of getting the signal to the station, it just was a nightmare for us. Matt and I are still great friends and work together on various social media projects and others.
All of our group pages like B96classics, WBMX, Back In The Day, EDM America TV, Live Stream DJs and pages including Q101 which has over 360K following it, WCKG has over 100K following it. They all serve a purpose and serve it well.
So all in all, I'm doing well, hope you are too.
BTW... for the guy (is it OK to still call someone that) who asked, thanks for listening to The Beat, glad we can bring a little sunshine to your day. We aims to please!
