Basically ALL. I was flipping from (Oldies) Fonz FM to Pure Oldies 106.9, then KissFM 103.7, to (HotAC) 99.1 WMYX ---- |
All in Milwaukee. Just blew my mind that ALL were running adds at the :45 marker.
I guess I always remember kicking off music sweeps at :55'ish and going to :40 (on Top40's/CHRs)
My ALL TIME FAVORITES were "98 WSPT" & "Z100" Eau Claire --both co-owned by Americus in the early 1990's. "12 in a row! - 98 WSPT" (because 10 in a row isn't enough.) Spots ran at :47 then ONE SONG, stop-set, and 12-in-row again.
New to me, the :45 & :15 (and possible :30) I began to notice a few years ago, on WIXX/Gr.Bay, WIFC/Wausau, 106KHQ/Traverse City, while crosstown Z93 Traverse City runs from :40 to :20, 10-in-a row.
The placement to me, just is "different." Thanx to all and all for the answers. I'm just a geek. Never in radio, but fascinated by the "science" of radio.
