It seems WCHI's only victim so far has been WKQX 101.1. No surprise here as I have been stating they are more of a female based alternative gold station than classic hard rock. Both are down. The next 3 months will be interesting to see what happens to Rock 955.

Entercom is a rolling tire fire:

US99 still has not gotten a major bump by BIG leaving. Tall sign the programming sucks and people have gone to other mediums?

B96 hovering at a 2.1 and cume in the toilet. Not seen since Z95 in the early 90s, WPNT in the mid 90s and KISS when they launched in 2k. Jockless after evening drive? No identity against KISS or WTMX. Good going. Is the contest "how fast can we kill off a heritage station"? Oh wait, they are already playing that game at WUSN.

There is enough time to poison WXRT and Newsradio kids. Buckle down for 2021!

95.5 was doing quite well in it’s first book in the breakdowns. Seems like it’s already losing steam. I don’t know if listeners expected more from it, were just sampling it, or both.

It seems like 95.5 is the current cursed frequency like 94.7 was from the 80s through late 2000s. Every format after Smooth Jazz WNUA has failed. Couple different variations of Spanish, Country and the Rock format doesn’t look promising. I know Smooth Jazz demos leaned older but it seemed to have a loyal following and with a demo that had plenty of disposable income. Were they afraid it was hurting V 103? Seemed like a perfect cross sell between V 103 and WLIT.

To me, 95.5 feels like a bag of a half dozen mix tapes from a neighbor who likes a “safe” mix of rock and alt across 4 decades. Three months from now it will sound about the same as it did last month. There is nothing innovative or interesting going on here, at least not during weekdays when I’ve tuned in.

Cume is down across the board since coronavirus. Here’s the same numbers from last year. There were more stations with cume above 1M. Now you can count them on 2 fingers. WLIT and WBBM
