Scripps buying ION

See link below. Scripps is buying ION media and it appears the Katz diginets will be moving over to WCPX as contracts expire. This will free up bandwidth for Nexstar, Univision and Weigel. Could Newsy possibly wind up as an OTA sub channel? That’s a mistake Nexstar made by not making NewsNation available to other OTA or streaming platforms. If you don’t get WGN America you can’t see it live.

Good post D. Nexstar also messed up bad when they let CLTV go. I realize it was cable only, but you NEVER give up anything of value when you are a business.

NewsNation is actually top notch. Here is the camera here is what is up. You decide. The major issue with them is, when you state you are going after CNN, you better be available 24/7. They are not and this will be the bigger failure above all else.

Did I read something somewhere prior to the launch of NewsNation that implied that once they got the product right in primetime, they would then "possibly" roll it out the the other 21 hours of the day? Could be wrong....

Just tell Scripps to keep their hands off the ION programming! Law and Order fans are a feisty lot. But they could achieve a lot of goodwill by reinstating Criminal Minds.
