Feder is awfully quiet. Radioinsight and other rags need to start following this place. Z what are the winning lottery numbers for tonight?

Feder was more fixated on NewsNation than the collapse of local programming in Market #3 and a company on the verge of Bankruptcy. I like Feder, I can't blame him. But I believe it also shows not only he but all the columnists, reporters, bloggers are in a tight spot having to take care of sources that provide a scoop and are friends and allies, against timely honest reporting.

These are the steps before BKP. This is one of many Firings & Bloodbaths to come. Sadly, people are losing their jobs. Radio is further dying today due to Entercom being incompetent.

This was round 1. There is more to come.

I Heart should have stayed in the country game. Even a company like Cumulus who has its share of trouble can be a buyer of more stations in Chicago. Going to be interesting but this “local on matter where the broadcast originates from” could be the dumbest thing a CEO has ever said.’sooo what happens to 99? Is drew walker going to mornings? I doubt it. My guess is he takes a pay cut and gets moved to afternoons. Not good for local radio.

Drew Walker is already filling in mornings 7-1. This was only supposed to be temporary. Now it may end up being permanent.

Seems that reporter was late on the overnight recorded WBBM newscasts, too.

If it means anything, I've seen WYTZZ95FM and Jeremy Andrews with absolute intelligent and healthy discussion, and (ah, the slogan) breaking news!

There are others too, and I've seen such garbage against these two, but, you two gentlemen have my utmost and undying respect.

Was Entercom this bad and incompetent of a company when they were basically a small/medium market operator? Was buying CBS radio basically what did them in? I’m sure Hubbard, Cumulus and iHeart would love to get some of their properties.

I never heard anything particularly bad about Entercom until the CBS Radio merger. I thought that merger was a mistake from the day I read about it. They seemed way too in over their heads. Then they almost immediately started acting like iHeart (Firings, Format changes, pushing Radio.com, etc)

They have been in Milwaukee since around 1999 when they bought the cluster from Sinclair (Sinclair only owned it for about a year) It was a pretty top notch cluster. Good people. That cluster is becoming a ghost town now. They have been in Madison since 2000 or so. Maybe a little later.

Sorry Jeremy,

From a business standpoint, Entercom was a low moral, low paying company, especially in Milwaukee. The cancer spread quickly when they absorbed CBS.

This was recent, read the article.

Moved, 5x larger floor plan, kept the old location. This was in Dec 2019. This is not even taking into consideration what debt they already were in.
