TV's Changing Channels By Themselves!?

I have two different brand TV's. One is connected to the roof antenna and the other to a screw in type.
A couple of months ago the living room TV (roof) switched to Ch. 26 on it's own. I figured it was just some glitch and switched it back. After several minutes it happened again.
Later that day it happened on the kitchen TV. (Always to CH. 26). I'd forgotten about it until it just happened again in the kitchen.
Does anyone know what could possibly be causing this to happen? It's so strange.

Might be a remote control issue.

If both the TV's are the same make (brand) take the batteries out and if the channels do not change, there is your problem.

No, they're two different brands, different remotes, different antennas.
The first time it happened I had CH. 26.4 on and it changed to 26.1 (on both TV's but several hours apart). Today from 38.1 to 26.1 (just one TV).
I live near O'Hare and wonder if the planes have anything to do with it?

Only other thing I can think is, you are losing signal on the channel you are viewing and it is reverting to 26.1 as the default channel.

I am at a loss!

I agree with Z’s hypothesis, that you’re losing signal and it is reverting to the .1 subchannel. I’ve never experienced this on any DTV set I ever owned though — not as you are describing it. The closest I’ve ever seen happen was watching CBS-2 on 48.3 (WMEU-CA Chicago) I left the room, came back and the TV was now on 41.1 “ABC 41” out of Battle Creek, MI (WOTV). Perhaps when a plane goes over, it reflects bits of some distant station using RF Channel 23 like WCIU Chicago — 2.1 WBAK Green Bay in on RF 23 for example — the TV gets momentarily confused and then dumps back to 26.1 when the plane moves on... Total guess. The only way to fight something like that is with a more directional antenna.
