It looks like NBC is starting up a new subchannel. Just noticed 5.3 with the name LocalX. No programming yet.

Wonder if it will be similar to the "Local-Ish" sub-channel for WLS - Channel 7?

Based on the videos posted so far to the NBCLX You Tube channel, it bears some resemblance to ABC/LocalISH. I saw a lot of negative comments on their first You Tube promo, if that's any litmus test for the channel's viability. I can see how people might view their stories as left-leaning but that may also be because they originate from the heart of a handful of large cities.
