If I could my 2 cents worth, from north of the border. No 24/7 news cycle for me. Was watching a few Milwaukee TV stations. The very reporters/anchors who were in the make-shift studios on Friday, were magically in the studio on Saturday. Less viewers I guess. |
There is other news and I can only be told to wash my hands 700 times a day, when it gets old. Really old.
Too, WBBM-AM is tossed, per radio, as I can't handle Coronaviris between the ads, every news story. Honestly, it's like playing your favorite song over & over & over for 2 weeks straight, non-stop. Soon. Real soon, it is not your favorite. It burns!
My radio is limited to WZTI (Milwaukee) and WMID.com (Atlantic City) where both stations are oldies (sorry) and no news, no weather, no jocks, no nothing. Just music! Stop for ads once an hour.
Back to the TV news. Please don't show/tell me the "breaking news" at 10PM that was at an 11AM (CDT) press conference, or "we'll explain what the tweet means..." as I can read. (The nuns took care of that! LOL) Thank you! www.cdc.gov/ is all one needs. It's official. When a station has to tell me there's "no bias" .... if there was "no bias" they wouldn't have to tell me!
A)Follow the money B)"Consultants" at work C)"we care"
I'm staying home and being good (retired), but will not sit and be glued to instant depression 24/7 for any amount of time.
The in-box in bad enough. I'm not on any social media. This "social distancing" works really good for me. I have a dog!
Now to wash my hands. I sneezed 2 years ago.
