Midway is most likely to take WCEV, and it only makes sense. I'll keep an eye on this one for sure. |
1450 is a graveyard frequency too. If I null Cicero, I get a number of other stations. I live off 294/95th St, which is more than far enough from 55/Kedzie to get skywave on top of Cicero (without the null). I get Sandusky, Ohio's WLEC sometimes, for instance.
These days, you need an FM, especially after dark/during this time of year (when skywave goes nuts). Every AM station that I know of, that has an FM, is situated in the upper end of the dial.
I think iHeart will take 1690, if Midway gets 1450. Question is, what kind of programming will go back on 1450? What about 1690? BTW, record what you can today. They will go off the air at 10 PM tonight. Again, one to watch.
