I wouldn't hold my breath about David Kaplan leaving ESPN 1000 AM for 104.3 FM The SCORE to take over morning drive there. I don't know what Kap's contract is like at ESPN Radio and I'm not sure he & David Haugh would be a good enough morning duo at The SCORE.

While SCORE Operations Director Mitch Rosen announced that Haugh will have a new co-host Monday morning, there are 2 names that I'm looking at and BOTH work with Haugh later in the day on CHSN, which also simulcasts the 7-9A (CT) hours of the morning radio show. Don't ask me why CHSN airs just 2 hours.

I think the clubhouse leaders are Haugh's CHSN teammates Ruthie Polinsky & Clay Harbor, who co-host "The Big Pro Football Show" weekday afternoons on the regional sports network as well as "The Chicago Lead". That show also includes Bulls' pre & postgame host Cam Smith, White Sox dugout reporter Brooke Fletcher & Haugh's SCORE teammate Gabe Ramirez among its co-hosts.

Polinsky has filled in many times for Mulligan in recent months, while Harbor is a contributing Bears/NFL analyst on the Audacy-owned Cubs & Bulls' Radio flagship. I think those are the names to keep an eye & ear on. After all, it is radio, you know...
