In my searches I was referred to this board and crossing my fingers I have some luck.

I am reaching out with a deeply personal request to see if it might be possible to locate an archival audio recording of a specific Chicago radio broadcast from 1980.

My parents met through a WMAQ radio program called "Afternoon Affair," broadcast around the Kankakee, Illinois area. We believe the specific broadcast—a call-in that connected them—aired on either Tuesday, March 4, or Wednesday, March 5, 1980.

My mom, Candy (maiden name Giguere) passed away years ago, and finding this audio would mean the world to my dad and our entire family. That single radio call is the literal reason we exist. Being able to hear the exact call that connected them and to one day share that recording with my own kids, Madeleine and Oliver, to show them how our family's story began, would be an unimaginable gift.
