I think Kendall Gill is the favorite to get the job. One candidate I would like to see get considered is Jay Williams. He currently pops up as an in studio analyst on ESPN shows Get Up and First Take. He was drafted by the Chicago Bulls and played one season before a motorcycle accident crushed his playing career . It's a Longshot, but I think he would jump at the chance to be the color commentator.
