While FOX 32 has said goodbye to the likes of Lou Canellis, Paris Schutz, Sylvia Perez, Tina Nguyen, Scott Schneider & Dawn Hasbrouck to its news & sports staff in recent months, the "Home of the Bears" has made a couple of notable new additions to its sports team. This in addition to promoting Cassie Carlson as the FOX-owned station's lead sports anchor.

One of them is Sam Panayotovich, who was most recently with NESN & VSIN (Vegas Sports & Information Network) hosting sports wagering shows in addition to contributing to FOX Sports since 2020. Sammy P first hit the scene as an intern at 720 AM WGN Radio, was a producer on Cubs & Blackhawks' radio broadcasts & also was a weekend sports anchor.

The other new addition at FOX 32 is another sports anchor with FOX ties, Devan Kaney. She joins FOX 32 by way of FOX 29 Philadelphia. She was also co-host of the "Werth Talking" podcast with former MLB outfielder Jayson Werth.

In addition to her work at FOX 29 & her podcast, Kaney was also the sideline reporter for the Philadelphia Eagles Radio Network, heard there on 94WIP. Kaney's position at WIP-FM was eliminated in budget cuts with the sports radio station's parent company Audacy about 2 months ago. Kaney signed off last month from her work at the FOX-owned station in Philly.

With Carlson now lead sports anchor at FOX 32, Kaney's primary role will be covering the Chicago Bears. It seems hard to believe, but Bears' Training Camp will be here before we know it.
