As I say, "what's old is new again." The last time WCKG played any music at all, was 2018...when they flipped to sports. Let's see how long this lasts. Just when you think 1530 has it figured it out...they abruptly change, to something else.

I'm not surprised it's the same, crappy pop/rock mix that 1530 had before (pop/alternative). 1530 (from memory) would air it as filler, from 2012-2018.

I remember an awesome country block (2016-18), that aired mornings. And "Q-101" during that same time (before sign off, I think)...also 2016-18. They also carried The Beat (which lasted into 2019, overnights on 102.3). I thought that was nice. Again, the flip to sports in 2018, eliminated filled music (FOX Sports on a loop, with some, local, sports programming).

If only Joe was still around. I mentioned Mike Baker and Nick Stancik, to a few friends (recently). We talked about Mike's show, and all the fun of listening, during the shorter days. Heard all kinds of oldies/hits (before the 60s). Also talked about Desi Junction (Sun, 12-4 PM).
