Pat Hughes was back on the Cubs Radio Network today and addressed his absence during today’s game vs the Padres.

It turns out he had a “long, lingering head cold.”. He did thank all the fans & the Cubs’ organization for him missing the last couple of weeks.

If it makes Hughes feel any better, the Cubs took San Diego to the woodshed by a football-like final of 23-3. You read that right.
