Driving in northwest Indiana heard the station ID for WGTO. It was the first time I heard it referred as part of Langford Broadcasting. May have done it before, but I did not hear. The signal was iffy, as I have referred previously.

Langford, of course, is Larry Langford, the last voice heard on WIND and WMAQ. He later was the spokesman for the Chicago Fire Department. His mom, Anna, was a legendary Chicago alderman.

WGTO was issued in 1988, the last daytime only license. Just learned he also owned WDOW (1440 AM) but sold that frequency in 2010 for $80,000 and sent dark so another station would have a better signal. Cannot recall that station.
