For Marquee's Cole Wright, he's living a dream as well. After attending Cubs' games at Wrigley Field with his family growing up, he's now living the dream as pregame & postgame host for Cubs' baseball broadcasts since Marquee signed on the air in the pandemic-shortened 2020 MLB season.
Now about to start his 7th season at Marquee, Wright shares his own dream story with former 670 AM The SCORE producer/host & Barrett Media's John "Rock" Mamola in quite a profile.
Wright shares how retired NBC 5 anchor/reporter Art Norman took him under his wing and helped lead him to his first opportunity in sports media. After working in much smaller markets in San Angelo & Tyler, TX, Wright was hired in 2011 by ESPN. Then, stints at FOX Sports & NFL Network followed.
Wright also discussed the phone call in 2019 prior to Marquee's launch that would change his professional career forever...And working at a place whose offices & studios are right across the street from Wrigley Field.
Cubs, baseball & sports fans interested in Wright's "Dream Job" can read all about here:
