WBIG-AM 1280 is really challenged after a plane hit their tower, followed by their losing their tower altogether. Does not get out far. The antenna is on top of a metal structure, similar to an 18 wheeler cab. Antenna is on top of it and grounded. It is located in a parking lot. (Anyone have more to add or correct me, please do so). I remember a while back when the engineer submitted the proposal to the FCC and it was approved. I was amazed at the engineering marvel and creativity, involved to get it to function.

I think you meant that 1530 was loud and clear? The audio on 1530 was either low or missing for the last few weeks but it is now fixed.
