Rob the 107.1 N side of Chicago is not a translator, it is an actual LPFM. WCXP-LP aka CHIRP Radio fought for years to get on air and they finally did. They have loyal following.

Is there a 107.1 downtown? W236CG-FM Bolingbrook 95.1FM is actually in Elmwood Park, across the street from Chicago and is now off the air. They have a CP to move it to 107.1 Chicago, but it still shows the TX in the same spot. It seems to be off air. Anyone can hear it downtown presumably airing "The Streetz" which is not complying with FCC rules by TX on the W236CF-FM translator by not translating anything over a parent AM or FM HDx.
