This Sunday's finale of the Cubs/Mets' series will be broadcast on Roku Channel and nowhere else. It's the first game of Roku's 2nd season as exclusive home of its "Sunday Leadoff" package.
Like last year when Roku replaced NBC's Peacock as home of "Leadoff", the announcers will be split down the middle, sort of speak with the local broadcasters of the participating teams calling the games, produced by MLB Network. It's very similar to Apple TV+ on Friday nights.
For Sunday's season premiere of Cubs/Mets, the ballgame will be called by veteran SNY/Mets' PBP voice Gary Cohen. Instead of working with former Mets' Keith Hernandez & Ron Darling like he does on SNY, Cohen will work the Cubs/Mets' game with a familiar face to Cubs & Yankees' fans.
Former Cubs' catcher & ex-Yankees' manager Joe Girardi will serve as analyst. Girardi currently splits his time between Marquee & YES Network as a game & studio analyst covering the Cubs & Yankees respectively. Marquee's very own Taylor McGregor rounds out the crew as dugout reporter for Sunday's Cubs/Mets' game on Roku.
For the 2 big market MLB franchises, this will be the Cubs & Mets' only appearance on "Leadoff" this season. First pitch for Cubs/Mets is at 11:05A (CT) Sunday morning in Queens, NY.
Marquee Sports Network will still have "Cubs Postgame Live" following the last out.
