Voices Carry by Til Tuesday was the last song on The Zone before going Alternative. They flipped early in the morning.

End of the Active Rock format happened around Noon. Metallica into The Beatles - Rock 'n Roll Music. They had a localized version of the network for the first day

Dick Biondi welcomed the WLS-FM calls back. Played the WLS version of Life Is A Rock (But Radio Rolled Me) and went back to network.

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road started the Classic Hits format. Was very bland.
