Wasn’t it just like 2 or 3 years ago that WBEZ was blazing a trail into the top 10 in several periods? They picked up Mary Dixon, the Chicago live and local sound was there and the books showed it. They were even nipping at the heels of Newsradio 780 / 105.9. What the heck happened? How did the wheels fly off of that wagon? And yes now it’s all piped in. For NPR, I find myself listening to 580 WILL Urbana more than 91.5 WBEZ over the past year.
