According to the Sun-Times' Jeff Agrest, McKnight is leaving his pre & postgame gig with the White Sox Radio Network, but he won't be leaving the Southside entirely.
McKnight will shift into an "Insider" role for the Sox and will make regular appearances on CHSN, the team's new TV partner when they sign on this spring.
McKnight says he'll be "wearing many hats" as a Sox employee, report from the field & occasionally fill in for John Schriffen on CHSN as well as for Len Kasper on the Sox Radio Network from time to time.
McKnight was actually a finalist for the TV play-by-play job that ultimately went to Schriffen. Will Flemming, one of the radio voices of the Boston Red Sox, was also said to be a finalist once Jason Benetti took the TV job with the Detroit Tigers last year.
