Back then, when Howard Stern left terrestrial radio for SiriusXM in 2006, CBS Radio tried to fill Howard's void with 3 different morning radio options, depending on market.
Out East, former Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth replaced Stern on CBS Radio stations out East, while comic & longtime "Loveline" host Adam Carolla hosted mornings on CBS Radio outlets out West. "Rover's Morning Glory" was handpicked for Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati, St. Louis & Memphis. Rover's ratings in Chicago alone were so bad, 105.9 FM once scored a zero rating. Seriously.
For the record, "Rover's Morning Glory" is still on the air at WMMS-FM in Cleveland. Rover signed with WMMS in 2008 and was immediately yanked from CBS Radio when he signed with a rival station.
Rover's show airs mainly on much smaller markets such as Columbus & Youngstown, OH, Louisville, West Palm Beach, FL & Erie, PA while originating in Cleveland on the rock station branded there as "The Buzzard".
