Following Sunday's 19-3 loss to the New England Patriots at Soldier Field, the heat for Bears' Head Coach Matt Eberflus has gone up considerably. It's very unlikely that the Bears will fire Eberflus in season. That's something the franchise has never done and likely won't do this year either.
Not even Eberflus' weekly call to ESPN 1000 AM, flagship of the Chicago Bears Radio Network, was much better Monday morning. Eberflus tried to explain what went wrong to hosts David Kaplan & Jonathan Hood, but his explanation...Didn't get much better or clearer for that matter.
Eberflus' phone kept going in & out and really frustrated Kaplan in particular. "Coach, your cellphone is as bad as the Bears' offense," Kaplan quipped as Eberflus' phone connection kept going in & out. It was so bad, that ESPN Radio pulled the plug on the disastrous interview after the 3rd time.
