They have cut the budgets to 0. People with experience being replaced with lower paid people w/o so much experience.

The SunTimes has no more photographers, they send the journalists (cough), out with iPhones.

Same in radio. This is the same medium when there is a shooting on 90 or snow storm cripples the interstate, no one is there to cover it. (Or they wake someone with a semi name to "report" witness accounts, from their PJ's, being on call that night to wake up).

WGN-TV 9 is the only exception to this new rule. They have people out in storms. If Martians landed, they would be there where other outlets would be trying to figure out how to spin it to the masses they were there, when they were not and not on the air!
