I own this film on DVD. The story is somewhat unrealistic. Nevertheless, the concert footage of Linda Ronstadt and Jimmy Buffett were sensational.
I nearly forgot Tom Petty is seen here as well.
I haven't watched this movie in over ten years or longer.
"FM" is a movie about a fictional Los Angeles rock station. What's fascinating is way back in 1978, the programmers were concerned about too much advertising diluting the sound of the music.
Fast forward to 2024 and what do we have? Radio stations owned by huge corporations which have no problem playing eight-minute commercial blocks.
Has any Chicago rock station been featured in a movie? It could be past or present.
