The demographics for Batavia, Geneva, St Charles etc.... "The River" was perfect. This is more niched. Hence, need a bigger footprint to make it happen.

You are all correct. If Q101 gets a hair up their rear and go classic alternative, even briefly, it is lights out for this format.

Alpha trying to do the BCR thing, is not going to work. BCR ran formats (mostly) you could not hear elsewhere and they did it right. They also physically had at least 1 signal CLOSE to the city on each simul/trimulcast. There were no translators back then either making it muddy listening. I know Alpha was blowing smoke about San Fran and it working there. You better have a blank check for your engineers to make this happen, start by buying up some more sticks and placing boosters like EMF uses on 94.3 (and they do work to fill in low signal areas). I do not see a blank or any type of check with all the bloodbath recently.

I was trying to listen to 102.3 Friday night. All I heard was WCKG out of Elmhurst and 98.3 was a mix between 98.3 Grand Rapids and Milwaukee. 🤷🏻‍♂️
