Jon "Boog" Sciambi, who has called the last 2 Cubs' seasons on Marquee Sports Network, will be on ESPN Radio's exclusive national radio broadcast of the World Series. In the process, he'll join a select group to call the "Fall Classic" since 1979. "Boog" will join Jack Buck, Jon Miller & Dan Shulman as the only guys to call the World Series on radio.
For ESPN Radio's national broadcast of the World Series though, "Boog" won't be working with Glanville like it's been for the first 3 rounds of this year's MLB Postseason. Instead, Boog will work with Eduardo Perez, who had been one of the "SNB" announcers on the TV side with Karl Ravech & David Cone. Jessica Mendoza and veteran reporter Buster Olney will round out the ESPN Radio broadcast of the World Series starting tonight.
FOX will have TV coverage, of course. Joe Davis, voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers, John Smoltz, Ken Rosenthal & Tom Verducci will be on the call there.
