As we all know, longtime 93XRT radio personality Lin Brehmer lost his battle with cancer January 22 this year at age 68. Brehmer was also a huge Cubs' fan and hosted WXRT's annual "Opening Day Broadcast" at Yak-zies, a popular sports bar not far from Wrigley Field for 30 years.

On August 19, on what would've been Brehmer's 69th Birthday, the Cubs, WXRT & Metro will pay homage to the longtime radio host with what's called "Lin's Binge" before the Cubs host the Kansas City Royals.

There will be a special culinary experience at Gallagher Way outside Wrigley Field, as well as a limited edition "Lin's Binge" baseball cap to the first 1,000 fans via a special ticket offer. A member of Brehmer's family will also throw out the first pitch before the 1:20P(CT) game that Saturday afternoon.

During the ballgame, fans will be treated to a playlist curated by Brehmer's longtime colleague and fellow WXRT jock/Cubs' fan Terri Hemmert and a video montage of Brehmer singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" will play during the 7th Inning Stretch.
