Next weekend, while Pat Hughes, Ron Coomer & Zach Zaidman are at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY for Hughes being honored with the Ford C. Frick Award, it's been revealed that Spiegel will pinch hit on radio play-by-play duty for the Cubs/Cardinals' series at Wrigley Field Friday, July 21-Sunday, July 23 on the Audacy-owned Cubs Radio Network flagship.

Needless to say, some BIG shoes to fill while Hughes is being honored with quite the award for baseball broadcasting. Seems hard to believe, but Hughes has been the Cubs Radio voice since 1996.
