I'm in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan now.
Never have been in radio. Just a geek.
QUESTION: Is WCFS-105.9 (all news WBBM) in MONO or STEREO? As a NEWS station, it wouldn't HAVE to be in stereo. TOO, if I'm correct, a mono signal carries further. So, is it in MONO or STEREO.
Question #2: the use of AM in a stations slogan. "AM 560, the Answer" "AM 1050 WLIP" "WLS - AM 890"
If "AM" is so bad, why say it, OR are people that stupid, they must be reminded, AM or FM? I don't think WGN WSCR WMVP etc use "AM" in any marketing of the station.
Thanks much for any honest discussion.
