I noticed WBBM780 and WCFS-FM 105.9 do not appear together. Perhaps I missed something previously.
Former winner, WTMX-FM/101.9 has dropped but is this a factor with sister station, WSHE-FM/100.3 with their format tweak?
WXRT-FM/93.1 retains its rightful glory. I'm seeing billboards for Q101 proclaiming they're back. Maybe the branding is, but what about the music? Most listeners don't care about call letters or branding. Have some listeners outgrown this station?
WLIT-FM/93.9 is a ratings powerhouse. It was once derided as a wanna-be. Not any longer. It will abandon its AC format for all-Christmas music in a couple of months which will bring in a lot of revenue to that station. For those who like their Christmas music in small doses, will WLS-FM/94.7 and or WRME-LP/87.7 be their destination for an escape?
WDRV-FM/97.1 owns the classic rock format in Chicago.
On a different note, recall Top 40 radio in the past with wacky contests. What used to surprise me was when a given station would call a home at random in the hopes they listened and answered with a certain phrase. Z95 & Jeremy Andrews, was this legal? Radio stations calling random people and putting them on the air without their permission?
ADMIN NOTE: Corrected link to ratings on Nielsen site. (Thank you Hunter)
