My view? If they allow it there, the challenges will pop up in other markets trying to set this up. Also, there seems to be no extensive test for interference.
Considering Wiegel is based out of Chicago, why haven't they tested it here? That is a big question.

Really? No permission? Just spew possible interference with no testing. Before any of you reply to this, I am stating it as a licensed ham and holder of various other 2 way licenses. There are rules in place so planes do not fall out of the sky. So pacemakers are not interfered with. So public safety is not interfered with. So your wireless internet is not polluted by dirty signals. You can't bend the rules so you can remain on the air for something that is not even an FM broadcast station to begin with. If the FCC approves it, I believe they should be subject to ALL the FM broadcast rules like fees, E&I programming etc.
We will know in about a month. The FCC is government, so if a quick reply doesn't surface, or no reply surfaces ever, don't be surprised!
