KOSF in San Fransisco rebrands as "103.7 80's +" easing in a 90s and or 70s title every hour. You can expect a lot more going forward. It is very AC friendly, they might be dayparting, or they might make it just as bland as every other station out there. They are trying to save their base and not chase them away by spiking too many 70s or 90s songs at once. The Classic Hits format is hot and it only makes sense as the 80s format is aging out of the demo. The jingles have been cut back, but they are using the old KISS-FM jingle package last heard here on BCR's 92 KISS fm back in the 90s.
Boston very suddenly killed off their 97.7fm from 80s & 90s Rhythmic oldies, stunting until 5PM EST today when they will Rumba flipping Spanish.
Here is the big Chicago question. Are any of the iHeart radio outlets in danger here? It is rumored that Atlanta and Denver are next to flip.
