What is not thought about, by those in that 60+ demographic who get offended that they are not sought after by advertisers, is that older people have already made their opinions on products over the first 50+ years of their lives. That’s why advertisers feel that group is irrelevant. Not because they have expendable income. Advertisers are working to influence younger people and sell them on purchases in the future.
The idea is to advertise to those who have not yet formed opinions on products.
