Right, Venture Technologies will operate a digital TV signal on RF Channel 6. However, that will no be heard on 87.7 since digital is incompatible with analog broadcasting. Now, what Venture decides to put on the air remains a mystery. Unless the FCC changes their mind at the last minute, do you think Venture will even bother operating WRME as a TV station? VHF Lo is even worse than VHF Hi for picking up the signal without interference. They’ve been using the station as a Franken FM since WNUA dropped Smooth Jazz maybe even longer. Is it possible they just don’t bother converting to digital and go silent and eventually surrender the license?
