Anyway the instructor (Who is a great guy, had a long career in local radio) gave our group a tour and told us everything they do and teach in the class. It was a whole bunch of stuff I already knew. He showed us Cool Edit-Audition and how some students used it to speed up their voices to sound like chipmunks.
He then went on to explain voice talent, automation, voice tracking, board ops, formats.
The class and the station unfortunately no longer exist. I think it would have been a great option for people who wanted to get into radio when it was still worth getting into.
Nowdays anything like this is a waste of time. It's who you know pretty much. Not what class you took.
