Want to show us some proof that KHITS was at a 1.2 at anytime in its existence? (Don't bother you are delusional). KHITS moved in between a 2 and 3 share and was winning its demos many times, especially during days. Yes it was profitable. When CBS sold its radio division to Entercom, they needed to push their new brand and they were not going to blow up B96, WXRT, Newsradio or US99. The young one on the block was gone. Ironic that Jams ate B96 alive and they managed to castrate US99.
Oldies 104.3 was (once again) a corporate move killing off heritage stations WJMK and WCBS-FM New York. It had 0 to do with ratings or revenue as opposed to pushing a national brand (Jack-FM failed miserably from a billing standpoint) Both stations returned to oldies, with WCBS-FM returning with the same slogan and positioner, while WJMK returned as KHits "Classic Hits".
Your welcome.
