Depending on the contracts, they can be pushed off on overnights during low news cycle to fulfill terms. I thought a lot of those shows are on barter or non exclusive which makes the terms lenient. (not sure).

If they do not go 24 hours, they are toast. They have a great product, but news headlines of the past few months prove this. You have to be there when it is happening not expect people to show up. When the Capitol was under siege, people were already locked in to their watching source and are not going to say "Oh it is 7PM CST, I need to tune into NewsNation!"
