Marty was largely responsible for the end of WCFL. The irony is, a few years later, WLS-AM was sun-setting its legend status, dying to the surge of FM stereo.

WCFL folded for a lot more reasons, but when WLS started trampling them in the ratings, it was a major reason. Today we have 2 CHR's in the 2 share, B96 barely holding a 2 share, WGCI lower than that at a 1.5. Crap like this never flew back in the day.
