The comments on the Eric in the Morning Facebook page are eye-opening. Every single post has hundreds and hundreds of comments from listeners upset about Melissa McGurren's absence from the morning show. It's not at all comparable to when Kathy Hart departed, when there were a sizable number of listeners who seemed either positive or at least neutral about the change.

That station has a *lot* of angry listeners on their hands right now, and it's beyond the scope of anything that you typically see even when a longtime popular personality departs. It will be interesting to see how it plays out in the coming weeks.
