Itís FM sister was Classical for as long as it possibly could. Had to flip to Country because the Classical
format did not bill.
The owner has a passion for Classical and Mainstream Jazz.
The FM sister (KKGO), unlike most HD signals has programming on HD3 and HD4 (Classical is currently on HD4)
The owner has a passion for broadcast radio including HD Radio. He could have sold the FM for millions years ago, but he did not.
Itís not like the AM billed much with Oldies. Probably didnít bill anything. Youíll notice in the video above the guy mentions the station barely plays any commercials. Red flag right there. If itís not billing anything, putting on a Classical format and testing out technology likely wonít make the owner more or less money. He gets to try new technology with music he has a passion for.
